It is with great excitement that we present the trail running community with an exclusive trail racing event – the Mt. Umunhum Ultras!

Parking and Carpooling

Do not park in the Mockingbird entrance parking lot.

Park on the perimeter by the Mockingbird parking lot facing into the fences.

Carpooling encouraged.

ATTENTION parking is also available on Almaden Road just before Mockingbird Ln & McKean Rd. About a half mile walk to the Start.

Aid Stations, Drop Bags, Pacers, and More.

  • All aid stations will remain open until the last runner comes in.
  • Runners that do not meet cutoff times will be driven back to the start.
  • Crew and support can follow and supply runners at the indicated aid stations. Parking is available but limited, please plan on carpooling.
  • Please note additional information for all of the aid stations.

Follow Pink Ribbons tied to Clothespins for the first 12.1 miles.

100k 50Mi Runners Only at mile 12.1 will Turn LEFT off of Woods Road go up Barlow Trail dirt road now Following Orange Ribbons to the Mt Umunhum Aid Station mile 16.9.

100k 50Mi Runners Turn Around at Mt Umunhum Aid Station run back down 4.8 miles following Orange Ribbons. 

ATTENTION 100k 50Mi Runners at mile 21.7 Returning to the Woods Trail Water Stop Now Turn (LEFT) up into Sierra Azul now Following Pink Ribbons.

100k 50Mi Runners Do Not Turn Right Following Pink Ribbons at this time returning towards Finish.

100k 50Mi Runners at Mile 25.3 you should be arriving at the Woods Limekiln Kennedy Aid Station.

50Mi Runners Turn Around & run back down 3.6 miles on the Woods Trail Following Pink Ribbons.

At Mile 28.9 Turn Right back up Barlow Following Orange Ribbons to the Mt Umunhum Aid Station at mile 33.7.

50Mi runners run back down 4.8 miles following Orange Ribbons to Mile 38.5 this time Turn Right onto Woods Trail going down towards finish now following Pink Ribbons for 12.1 miles to the Finish. 

100k Runners at the Aid Station mile 25.3 continue following Pink Ribbons for another 5.5 miles Woods Trail to Priest Rock Trail turning around at mile 31 the Water Stop at Alma Bridge Road & the bottom of Priest Rock.

100k Runners run back to Aid Station following Pink Ribbons mile 36.5.

Continue to follow Pink Ribbons on the Woods Trail for another 3.6 miles.

100k Runners at Mile 40.1 Turn Right go up Barlow following Orange Ribbons & Mt Umunhum Trails 4.8 miles back to the Mt Umunhum Aid Station mile 44.9.

100k Runners Turn Around at Mt Umunhum Aid Station go back down 4.8 miles following Orange Ribbons. 

100k Runners at mile 50 Turn Right East down onto the Woods Trail now following Pink Ribbons for 12.1 miles to the Finish.

Lights Required when dark.

Lights may be dropped off saved for later at Aid Stations. 

1. Drop Bags will be picked up race morning delivered to requested Aid Stations & later returned to finish when able. 

2. Drop Bags will be labeled name of Aid Station.

Pacer Rules 

1. One Pacer at a time

2. A Pacer can leave the course at the designated locations below & then a different pacer can replace that Pacer. 

3. No Muling 

4. Lights Required on trail before dark so your able to have lights when needed & during darkness. 

PACERS 100k Pacers where you can pickup your 100k runners.

Prior Race if possible or during Please inform us where you plan to enter onto course so we can track you as well.
