About the Race
This run is in Sanborn Park situated in the hills above Saratoga. Course composed of 95% single track trail, extremely mountainous, very technical, lushly wooded, mixed evergreen forest, featuring Redwood, Douglas Fir, Oak Madrone, and Tanbark Oak.

- Entry fees are non-refundable, but the full registration amount (minus processing fees) may be transferred to another future TCT Run by contacting team@tctruns.com at least 24 hours before the scheduled event.
- Runners may purchase a Troy’s California Trail Runs sport-tek technical fabric shirt during the registration process, or at the event supply permitting. All shirts are gender-specific and come in sizes ranging from ladies XS all the way to mens XXL.

- 7:30 AM — Registration/Sign-In/Bib-Pick Up Opens
- 8:15 AM — Trail briefing
- 8:30 AM — Race Start
Course Information
- Most of the trails are single track, steep, wooded and provide plenty of shade.
- The Starting line for the race will be at the Peterson Grove Picnic Area, easily accessible from the lowest level parking lot (closest to the park entrance station).
- ONE portable toilet will be available at the start/finish line. It is first-come first-served, so please be respectful of other runners waiting for and needing to use the toilet.
- ADDITIONAL TOILETS (full service restrooms with running water and flush toilets) will be available at the Costanoan Group/Picnic Area, near the middle parking lot, a few hundred yards from the Peterson Grove Start/Finish area.
- Courses will be marked with ribbons, signs & gypsum.
- Yellow ribbons accompanied by large arrows will indicate sharp turn ahead from Sanborn Trail to Peterson Trail (or vice versa, depending on loop direction)
COURSE ROUTES
- 4 mile (1,555 ft. Ascent)
- Single Counterclockwise Loop through park. Follow Pink Ribbons out and up the mountain, then Orange Ribbons back down the mountain to finish.
- 8 Mile (3,022 ft. Ascent) – Full aid available at mile 4 (start/finish line and aid station)
- 1st – Counterclockwise Loop. Follow Pink Ribbons out and up the mountain, then Orange Ribbons back down the mountain to aid at Mile4.
- 2nd – Clockwise Loop. Follow Orange Ribbons out and up the mountain, then Pink Ribbons back down the mountain to finish at Mile8.
- Half Marathon (4,528 ft. Ascent) – Full aid available at mile 4 and mile 8 (start/finish line and aid station)
- 1st – Counterclockwise Loop. Follow Pink Ribbons out and up the mountain, then Orange Ribbons back down the mountain to aid at Mile4.
- 2nd – Clockwise Loop. Follow Orange Ribbons out and up the mountain, then Pink Ribbons back down the mountain to finish at Mile8.
- 3rd – Counterclockwise Loop. Follow Pink Ribbons out and up the mountain, then Orange Ribbons back down the mountain to finish half marathon.
Aid Station
- The Start/Finish line at the Peterson Grove Picnic Area will also serve as a full aid station accessible to 4 mile runners after their race, and to replenish 8 mile runners (midway before their 2nd loop) and Half Marathon runners (at mile 4 and mile 8). Toilet available in parking area adjacent to aid station.
Cut Off Times
There is an overall 4 hour time limit for the half marathon with one cutoff:
- Half Marathon runners must begin their third and final loop, and be out of the Peterson Grove Start/Finish/Aid Station by 11:10am.
Drop Bags
Drop bag service is NOT available for this event.
Parking and Carpooling
- $6 per vehicle, SELF-REGISTRATION for all parking.
- We will have pink ribbons at the entrance and people directing you.
